Abstract

Methicillin Resistance Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) are bacteria that resistant to almost all class ofantibiotics. MRSA are important cause of nosocomial infection called (Hospital acquired -MRSA) (HA-MRSA).Currently, the epidemiology of MRSA has changed since community acquired methicillin-resistant S. aureus (CA-MRSA) has emerged worldwide. This review focuses on MRSA and CA-MRSA in respect of history, mechanismof resistance, virulence factor, MRSA nasal carriage and risk factors, treatment and prevention as well as conclusionsand perspectives relevant to future research.
